Temporary Lab Patient Technician Role

In this role at LifeLabs, you will support the specimen collection process by interacting closely with patients, performing essential lab work, and preparing specimens for testing. You’ll also engage in data entry and document test results, ensuring utmost accuracy and confidentiality, while meeting operational needs in Pembroke and Petawawa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and gather information from patients as needed
• Perform phlebotomies and complete ECG tracings
• Conduct medical/legal test collections and record documentation
• Respond to inquiries and maintain client communication
• Manage specimen transportation preparations

Requirements

• Graduate of Laboratory Assistant program is preferred
• Phlebotomy and ECG experience strongly considered
• Proficient computer skills with minimum 40 wpm typing
• Strong customer service and empathy skills
• Adherence to patient privacy and confidentiality standards
