Senior Civil Engineer (PE – Maryland)

Civil Consulting Firm | Silver Spring Area A well-established civil consulting firm in the Silver Spring area is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with an active Maryland PE license to join our growing team. This is a leadership-level role offering strong technical involvement, client interaction, and the opportunity to mentor junior staff while managing impactful land development and site design projects throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil site and land development projects from concept through construction
• Prepare and review grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, and utility design plans
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
• Oversee permitting and approvals within Maryland jurisdictions
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and designers
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables

Qualifications

• Active Maryland PE license (required)
• 8+ years of civil engineering experience in land development/site design
• Strong knowledge of local county and state regulations
• Proven ability to manage projects and maintain client relationships
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
