Head iOS Engineer (Architecture & Mobile Platform)

We are seeking a Head iOS Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership in the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-grade mobile applications. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys coding while also mentoring others, shaping standards, and guiding technical direction across projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical authority for iOS development, leading architecture, design decisions, and platform integration efforts.
• Design and implement scalable, high-quality mobile solutions while ensuring performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead and participate in code reviews, establish development standards, and promote best practices across the engineering team.
• Mentor and coach developers, supporting technical growth and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Guide teams in CI/CD processes, automation, and development workflows to improve release quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to communicate technical considerations, risks, and trade-offs.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, lead root-cause analysis, and drive resolution of critical production or integration challenges.
• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture roadmaps, and project planning to support successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing and delivering native iOS applications in production environments.
• Strong expertise in Swift, iOS frameworks, and mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVC, or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices for mobile delivery.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.

Preferred

• Experience integrating mobile applications with enterprise back-end services and APIs.
• Familiarity with mobile security practices, performance optimization, and observability tools.
• Prior experience in a technical lead or principal engineer capacity.
