About the position
Levitt-Safety is seeking experienced HVAC Technicians for a fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) position in Fort McMurray. This role involves supporting mobile HVAC systems on heavy industrial equipment in mining and industrial environments. The position offers a 14/14 FIFO rotation, providing a better work-life balance by allowing you to work half the year. Levitt-Safety is Canada's trusted safety partner since 1935, committed to ensuring people return home safely. This role focuses on diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance of mobile HVAC systems on haul trucks, dozers, loaders, and other off-road industrial equipment, with less emergency breakdown pressure than traditional service environments. Optional cross-training on fire suppression systems is available.
Responsibilities
- Diagnostics, repairs & preventative maintenance of mobile HVAC systems on heavy equipment
- Field-based troubleshooting in mining environments
- Supporting mobile HVAC systems on haul trucks, dozers, loaders, and off-road industrial equipment
Requirements
- Red Seal or Journeyman HVAC certification
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Safety-first mindset
Nice-to-haves
- Industrial, mining, or heavy equipment experience is an asset
- Optional cross-training on fire suppression systems
