Job Description
LeverageTek is actively seeking a D365 CE Developer for a 6-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Key Tasks
- Analyze and discuss software requirements, propose design solutions, identify timelines based on the complexity of code, build new software and deliver results to client
- Meet with clients to resolve issues and/or coordinate solutions.
- Create custom solutions for clients/business units and meet with team members to ensure output will meet the required need.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of software systems, including suggesting improvements or optimizations to create a user-friendly experience or enhance employee workflow.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code according to specifications provided by senior developers or project managers.
- Provide support for existing software applications, including troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements or updates.
- Write documentation for code and software features to help other developers understand and use the software effectively.
- Collaborate with other team members for software solutions, code review and knowledge sharing.
- Continuous learning of new technologies, emerging trends, programming languages, and best practices to improve skills and stay up to date with industry trends.
- Design, fix and implement software solutions to meet client requirements; propose software solutions, discuss limitations/options, experiment to see if software required will work with existing systems, create a prototype, meet with client/s for reviews updates, modifications, etc.
- Solve complex business problems for clients quickly and to standards.
- Recognize potential improvements to processes/methods/products or services and ensuring efficiencies in employee workflow based on software improvement or creation.
- Develop and enhance procedures and process documents for new and existing software solutions.
- Work with team members by demonstrating tools, how they work and code reviews.
- Work with external vendors to ensure they are delivering solutions as per contracts
- Build trust with clients and/or adjust service looking beyond immediate needs and adjusting systems.
- Use industry best practices and/or departmental or organizational policies to guide decisions.
- Provide input on architectural decisions on new solutions.
- Occasionally exhibits solution architecture traits.
- Act as a mentor by supporting, guiding and making recommendations to junior members of the team on how they are solving software problems. Provide quality review.
- Remain current and up to date on new technologies, emerging trends, programming languages, and best practices and recommend new technologies.
Key Qualifications
- The role requires expertise in D365 CE development, .NET/C# plugins. CE modules include Customer Service, Field Service, Project Ops, Contact Center
- 6–9+ years of advanced software development experience, with a strong understanding of the full SDLC — from planning and architecture through development, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Experience operating in both technical and business environments, build trust, and communicate effectively.
Qualifications
- Qualifications include a minimum of 6-9 years of experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require a graduate diploma/degree in a related field and/or a professional degree, certification, or designation.
- Requires expertise in a specialized discipline or broad experience across fields, along with an understanding of interconnections between processes and business units.
- Experience working with a variety of hardware and software systems, including Microsoft Windows and programming languages such as HTML, .Net (C#), X++ JavaScript, CSS, CMS, MS Dynamics/D365 and Power Platforms (Pages, Automate), and or other cloud-based technologies.
- CE Modules COE, Customer Service, Field Service, Project Ops, Contact Center
- Experience with development languages and tooling.
- Strong ability to develop and write code to process systems to deliver applications.
- Expert ability to debug code and write unit tests to ensure code quality and identify and fix issues.
- Strong understanding of the stages of software development from planning to deployment.
- Ability to identify complex problems, analyze interrelated factors, assess and mitigate risks, and develop solutions using specialized skills.
- Communication and influence skills to gather perspectives, understand needs, and present information to reach consensus, often in somewhat sensitive situations.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
