Accountant/Bookkeeper (Australian accounting)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), and GST reconciliations
• Prepare Income Tax Returns for individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts, and partnerships
• Assist with tax compliance work, including ATO correspondence and client follow-ups
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounting records for tax reporting
• Maintain and update client files and financial data in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Reckon)
• Assist with tax planning support work, including income summaries and deduction analysis
• Prepare financial statements for tax purposes, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
• Support senior accountants with year-end tax workpapers and adjustments
• Communicate with clients to collect supporting documents for BAS and tax lodgements
• Ensure compliance with ATO requirements, deadlines, and Australian tax legislation

Qualifications and experience required:

✅3+ years of accounting & business services experience

✅ B.com/M.com

✅Experience in preparing of Income Tax Returns

✅Exposure and knowledge of Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and Reckon highly regarded

Working Days: 6 days (Monday – Saturday)

Working hours: 7 am -3:30 pm

Work Location: In person (work location is Chandigarh)

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
