Leavitt Group of Portland in Beaverton, OR is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager for their busy office.
As an Commercial Lines Account Manager, you’ll manage the daily servicing and retention of accounts, provide expert coverage guidance, and collaborate with producers and other account managers to ensure exceptional client experience. The ideal Commercial Insurance Account Manager will possess a wide range of commercial lines account management skills, including but not limited to customer service, administration, and sales. The position requires experience managing both small and large commercial accounts and a strong understanding of the underwriting process including new and renewal business.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and retain an assigned book of business, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service.
- Place new and renewal business by collaborating with producers and following established workflows.
- Answer coverage questions, recommend solutions, and process policy changes, endorsements, audits, and certificates.
- Issue insurance documents, reconcile accounts, collect premiums, and assist clients with service needs and escalations.
- Maintain accurate client information in AMS360 and follow commercial lines procedures using available reference tools.
- Stay current on market trends, products, pricing, and underwriting criteria.
- Analyze renewal premiums, identify variances, and propose competitive alternatives.
- Mentor and support new team members as needed and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Communicates with supported Producer(s) on a regular basis to keep them updated on client activity
- Prepare binders, certificates, endorsements, policies, lost policy releases, loss run requests and account balance status when requested
Requirements and Experience
- Full Time – In office
- 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Account Manager.
- Active Property & Casualty license.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in interpreting insurance documents.
- Proficiency with basic office software and comfort learning agency systems. AMS360 knowledge preferred.
