Job Description

Role: Mobile Technology Lead

Location: McLean, VA – 100% ONSITE

Hiring Mode: Contract (6+ months)

Pay: $70/Hr.

Role Description:

The Mobile Technology Lead will be responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering enterprise-grade mobile applications using a hybrid and native mobile stack. This role will lead mobile development squads, define technical standards, ensure high performance and security, and partner closely with product, UX, backend, and platform teams to deliver seamless mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead end-to-end mobile application architecture using Ionic and Capacitor for hybrid development, and Swift for native iOS components
  • Define mobile development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices
  • Drive technical decisions related to performance, security, scalability, and maintainability

Development Delivery:

  • Perform hands-on development and code reviews for AngularJS-based mobile applications
  • Design and implement native plugins using Capacitor to access device features (camera, biometrics, storage, push notifications, etc.)
  • Integrate mobile apps with backend services, APIs, and third-party SDKs
  • Ensure compliance with App Store guidelines, security standards, and accessibility requirements

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Mentor and guide mobile developers across hybrid and native stacks
  • Collaborate with UX, Product Owners, Backend, DevOps, and Security teams
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management

Quality, Performance & Security:

  • Ensure high-quality mobile releases through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization
  • Implement mobile security best practices (secure storage, encryption, authentication, certificate pinning, etc.)
  • Monitor and resolve production issues and support app lifecycle management

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Ionic Framework (enterprise-scale mobile app development)
  • Capacitor (native bridge, plugin development, device integration)
  • AngularJS / Angular (mobile UI development and state management)
  • Swift (native iOS development and plugin customization)
  • Experience with Android native development (Kotlin/Java)
  • CI/CD for mobile apps (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Mobile security standards (OWASP Mobile Top 10)
  • Experience with enterprise authentication (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, biometrics)

Domain Experience (Preferred):

  • Banking, Financial Services, Credit Union, or regulated industries
  • Digital banking, payments, or customer-facing mobile platforms

Soft Skills:

  • Strong technical leadership and mentoring capability
  • Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to balance hands-on development with architectural ownership
  • Problem-solving mindset and delivery focus
