Senior Associate, Software Engineer

They are seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to join their team, focusing on the design, implementation, verification, and troubleshooting of real-time embedded software systems.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with an Agile team of experienced software engineers on projects that involve the development and analysis of real time Embedded SW system
• Have the opportunity to learn the latest advancements in SW defined communication systems
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems design
• Development experience with the Linux OS
• Proficiency with C++ and C programming languages
• Proficiency with multi-threaded, multi-core, and real-time operating systems
• Experience with object-oriented software development
• Understanding of Design, Implementation, Integration and Testing of large software systems
• Experience with embedded software emulators/debuggers
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team including hardware, software, and systems engineers
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Skills

• Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems design

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0 - 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience in Embedded Software or DSP
• Experience optimizing software for performance, power consumption, and memory usage on various hardware platforms
• Experience using test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
• Experience with radio communications including waveforms, modulations, coding schemes and digital signaling
• Experience with communications security (COMSEC) and transmission security (TRANSEC) concepts and algorithms
• Experience with software development using artificial intelligence
