Job description

Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

Kyndryl Consult is the fastest growing business within the organization and instrumental to the company’s strategic growth objectives. You will play a key leadership role across multi-disciplinary teams, guiding them through complex consulting engagements and creating strategic change agendas for Kyndryl's largest healthcare accounts across the C-suite—spanning the intersection between complex Payor Business Strategy, IT modernization, and health plan ecosystem transformations.

As a Consult Partner - Healthcare (Payors), you will drive profitable growth by leveraging our comprehensive hybrid cloud, infrastructure, and core modernization capabilities. You will build deep client relationships and lead senior teams to deliver high-value outcomes in the North Texas market and beyond. This role demands a strong presence, deep payor domain expertise (spanning core admin systems, digital health integration, claims, and cloud modernizations), and the ability to cultivate relationships with CXO-level health plan executives.

Leading client engagements across both pre- and post-deal phases, you will guide strategy through execution—ensuring high quality, measurable financial impact, and seamless operational delivery across complex health plan architectures.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to Profitable Growth:

  • Drive significant financial outcomes through signings and revenue targets within the Healthcare and Payor sector.

  • Ensure sustained growth and profitability, managing margin expectations and backlog growth across complex technology transformations.

  • Support the identification, pursuit, and conversion of a business development pipeline focused on health plan modernization, cloud migration, and core systems execution.

  • Undertake scoping and fee negotiation on engagements, ensuring profitability while containing operational and compliance risks inherent in large payor environments.

Client Engagement:

  • Build and maintain deep relationships with health plan CXOs, VPs of IT/Operations, and Business Unit Leaders, serving as a trusted advisor on digital transformation and infrastructure modernization.

  • Lead C-level client interactions, consulting initiatives, and high-impact deliverables for major healthcare accounts.

  • Demonstrate deep credibility in advising on complex payor challenges—such as legacy mainframe modernization, core administrative processing platforms, digital member engagement, and interoperability.

  • Enhance client satisfaction as measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS) and secure executive client references.

Operational Excellence:

  • Achieve individual and team utilization targets.

  • Lead the design of complex payor technology engagements and take full oversight of delivery, ensuring high performance, stability, and customer satisfaction.

Leadership, Management & People:

  • Lead by example; foster a culture of continuous personal and professional development while challenging teams to be curious, innovative, and supportive.

  • Ensure all engagement outcomes are commercially focused, value-adding, and effectively executed to solve real-world payor operational challenges.

Strategic Contribution:

  • Utilize payor industry and technology expertise to shape and drive Kyndryl’s strategic healthcare initiatives.

  • Align with Kyndryl’s strategic vision and contribute directly to its execution across the Dallas/DFW healthcare ecosystem.

  • Drive external eminence, establishing a strong personal and organizational brand in the payor and health tech space.

  • Proactively develop thought leadership around health plan modernization, AI/automation in claims and member services, and scalable hybrid cloud architectures.

Kyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, you may be required to show proof of vaccination to align with their respective COVID-19 vaccination policies.  Those who believe they are eligible may apply for a medical or religious accommodation prior to the start of employment.

You’re exceptional at what you do and possess the healthcare payor track record to prove it. You understand the unique balance between operational stability, regulatory compliance, and rapid digital innovation.

You are customer-focused, prioritizing the long-term success of health plans and their members, and open and borderless—naturally collaborative across complex cross-functional teams.

  • Deep Healthcare Payor Domain Expertise: Extensive experience navigating health plan business operations, core administrative processing systems (CAPS), claims processing, member/provider digital platforms, or value-based care technology ecosystems.

  • Executive Leadership: Demonstrated success engaging, advising, and commercializing relationships at the C-suite/VP level within major health insurance or healthcare technology organizations.

  • Consulting & Execution Track Record: Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through complex, high-value consulting engagements in a corporate payor, consulting, or health tech environment.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong commercial leadership with a track record of driving revenue growth, managing engagement margins, and shaping multi-million dollar deals.

  • Dallas / Texas Market Familiarity: Strong understanding of regional healthcare dynamics, payor landscape, and enterprise transformation needs in the North Texas region.

  • Thought Leadership & Innovation: Proven ability to drive change, leverage emerging capabilities (like responsible AI and automation), and elevate organizational brand presence.
