Overview
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our dynamic construction and electrical services team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience working alongside licensed electricians on a variety of commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in electrical systems, safety protocols, and construction processes, with opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities
- Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical installations
- Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment such as ohmmeters to perform wiring and troubleshooting tasks
- Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC standards
- Aid in the setup and framing carpentry as needed for electrical infrastructure
- Follow safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Participate in site clean-up and organization to maintain an efficient work area
Experience
- Prior experience with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Construction site experience is beneficial, especially familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters is advantageous
- Basic understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems, including NEC standards, is preferred
- Experience with framing carpentry or working on construction sites demonstrates relevant skills for this role
