Role Summary :
Responsible for ensuring the organization's adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards. The role focuses on compliance program management, risk mitigation, audits, and governance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks across business functions
- Ensure policies and procedures are updated as per regulatory changes
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws (labor, data protection, healthcare, financial, etc.)
- Monitor regulatory updates and assess impact on business
- Draft, review, and enforce company policies and code of conduct
- Drive governance standards across departments
- Identify compliance risks and implement preventive controls
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and mitigation planning
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Track audit findings and ensure timely closure
- Prepare compliance reports and dashboards for leadership
- Handle whistleblower complaints and investigations
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented
- Conduct compliance and ethics training programs
- Promote awareness of policies and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders
- Act as a point of contact for compliance-related queries
- Support implementation and adherence to information security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC2 etc.)
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulation (HIPPA etc.)
- Identify and access information security risks across systems, applications and data.
- Work closely with IT team to ensure security controls and policies are implemented effectively.
- Support continuous improvement of the organization's security posture and risk management practices.
