Customs Specialist

Kitchener Executive Consultants Inc. has partnered with a designer and manufacturer of engineered HVAC systems, seeking a detail-oriented Customs Specialist to join its Canadian operation. This is an opportunity for a Customs and Trade compliance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment while ensuring regulatory compliance across global import and export activities. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting international trade operations while partnering closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics and Procurement teams.

The Customs Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Canadian, U.S., and international customs regulations while managing the day-to-day administration of import and export documentation. This individual will perform tariff classifications, maintain certificates of origin and trade documentation, coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders, monitor changing regulatory requirements, and support customs audits and continuous process improvements.

Success in this position requires exceptional attention to detail, advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customs authorities, brokers, and logistics providers. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who enjoys improving processes, maintaining compliance, and contributing to the efficiency of a global supply chain operation.
