Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer for New Project Implementation is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of manufacturing processes for new product introductions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including product development, quality assurance, and supply chain to ensure that new products are efficiently designed for manufacturability and aligned with production capabilities. The engineer will conduct feasibility studies, develop process flow diagrams, and establish work instructions. This position also requires direct involvement in troubleshooting production issues, optimizing processes, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing engineering efforts for new product development projects.
• Collaborate with design and development teams to review and provide input on product design for manufacturability.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including equipment setup, tooling design, and workflow planning.
• Conduct capacity analysis and resource planning to support new project launches.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation including process specifications, work instructions, and training materials.
• Support the transition of products from development through to full-scale production.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to new products and processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the implementation processes.

Skills and Tools Required:

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software for process design and layout (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

• Project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources.
