Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Bethesda, MD. Overview: We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support a growing accounting team managing a portfolio of assets. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex accounting activities, gain visibility across the organization, and contribute to process improvements. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and manage payables
• Handle accounting for more complex assets, including joint ventures
• Assist with portfolio-level reporting and roll-forwards
• Analyze financial data and identify variances
• Drive process improvements and support cross-functional initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2 years of experience at or near the Senior Accountant level
• Public accounting and/or real estate experience preferred
• CPA is a plus, but not required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
