Programmer Level 3 – Healthcare Systems

Fredericton, NB (Onsite – HSBC Place, 520 King Street)

12-Month Contract | Up to $85/hour

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Programmer / Systems Analyst to support the Provincial Health Application Services team in Fredericton, NB.

This role supports mission-critical healthcare systems including Electronic Health Records, integration engines, clinical repositories, registries, and provincial health platforms. You will work within a 24/7 operational health environment delivering steady-state support and project-based enhancements.

This position is primarily onsite in Fredericton.

About the Role

You will augment the eHealth technical team supporting complex, highly integrated healthcare applications including registries, clinical repositories, EHR systems, integration engines, and custom applications.

The role involves system operations, maintenance, third-party upgrades, defect resolution, performance optimization, and new feature implementation across a diversified application portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions
• Support and enhance large healthcare software systems
• Perform application release activities
• Resolve incident and problem management tasks
• Support integration points across enterprise systems
• Maintain Oracle and SQL Server database components
• Work with integration engines (e.g., Rhapsody)
• Participate in team scrums and documentation updates
• Support on-call rotations (as required)

Work Location

• Onsite in Fredericton, NB (HSBC Place, 520 King Street)
• Limited remote flexibility at client discretion
• Travel outside Fredericton not expected

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

• 20+ years of IM/IT experience
• 15+ years as Senior Programmer and/or Senior Systems Analyst
• Experience working on large enterprise systems with multiple integration points
• Strong Oracle and SQL Server experience
• Experience with SSRS, SSIS, or Oracle Reports
• Experience across full SDLC lifecycle
• Excellent English communication skills
• Available to work onsite in Fredericton

Nice to Have

• Experience with Provincial Healthcare systems in Canada
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Experience with integration engines such as Rhapsody or Azure Integration Services
• Experience working within government healthcare environment
