Academic Co-Ordinator
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Planning, Implementation & Monitoring
- Design and implement a comprehensive academic plan aligned with curriculum objectives and learning outcomes.
- Ensure effective curriculum transaction as per CBSE and NEP guidelines.
- Review and approve weekly lesson plans, ensuring:
- Clear learning objectives and outcomes
- Integration of experiential and activity-based learning
- Use of teaching aids and assessment strategies
- Monitor classroom teaching through regular observations and feedback sessions.
- Maintain a robust syllabus tracking system to ensure timely completion of the curriculum.
- Conduct periodic academic reviews to identify learning gaps and implement corrective strategies.
- Ensure balance between concept clarity, skill development, and syllabus completion.
2. Activity Planning & Integration
- Design and execute a structured activity calendar (monthly/term-wise) for all classes.
- Integrate co-curricular activities with academic learning (Art Integration, Experiential Learning, PBL).
- Plan activities such as:
- Art & Craft
- Storytelling
- Role Play & Drama
- Music & Dance
- Show & Tell
- Theme-based classroom activities
- Ensure activities are age-appropriate, inclusive, and skill-oriented.
- Monitor execution and evaluate the impact on student engagement and learning.
3. Assembly Planning & Monitoring
- Plan and organize weekly/monthly assemblies aligned with themes, national events, and value education.
- Ensure assemblies include interactive and activity-based presentations.
- Establish linkage between assemblies and classroom learning.
- Monitor discipline, presentation quality, and time management.
- Maintain records of themes, participation, and outcomes.
4. Assessment & Evaluation
- Plan and oversee assessments as per CBSE guidelines.
- Ensure effective implementation of competency-based and formative assessments.
- Review report cards and maintain academic records.
- Analyse assessment data to improve learning outcomes.
5. Parent Communication
- Act as a bridge between school and parents.
- Conduct and coordinate Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Address parent concerns professionally and promptly.
- Ensure transparency in communication regarding student progress and school activities.
6. Administrative & Coordination Responsibilities
- Prepare academic calendars, timetables, and activity schedules.
- Maintain records of lesson plans, activities, assemblies, and syllabus progress.
- Coordinate school events, competitions, and celebrations.
- Ensure discipline, punctuality, and smooth daily functioning of the wing.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate with B.Ed. (mandatory)
- 5–8 years of teaching experience (Primary/Junior Grades)
- Experience in coordination or leadership role preferred
