SOWINS Fund Development Specialist Position

Become a Fund Development Specialist with SOWINS in South Okanagan to spearhead transformative fundraising efforts. Engage with donors and community members to enhance organizational impact.

This role is essential for experienced fundraising professionals passionate about community service and equity. Responsibilities include implementing annual fundraising strategies while collaborating with leadership and the Board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of fundraising strategies to increase revenue
• Manage donor relationships and planned giving initiatives
• Oversee and plan community-focused fundraising events
• Evaluate fundraising performance and track key metrics
• Provide mentorship to the Donor Relations Administrator

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Communications or Marketing
• 5-7 years in senior fundraising with proven success
• Knowledgeable in fundraising principles and ethics
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• CFRE designation is an asset
