Job Summary
We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer who will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining desktop systems, laptops, printers, and other IT devices. The candidate will provide technical support to end users and ensure smooth functioning of IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Desktop & Laptop Support
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and operating systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on user systems.
- Install and update applications, drivers, and security patches.
- Provide support for Windows OS, MS Office, and other business applications.
Hardware Support
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Replace faulty components such as RAM, HDD/SSD, SMPS, and network cards.
- Perform regular system health checks and preventive maintenance.
Network Support
- Basic troubleshooting of LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
- Configure IP address, DNS, and network settings.
- Assist in switch and router connectivity issues.
User Support
- Provide technical support to end users through remote or onsite support.
- Handle IT service requests and incident tickets.
- Guide users in resolving common technical issues.
Software & Security
- Install and manage antivirus and endpoint security software.
- Ensure systems are updated with latest patches and security updates.
- Support backup and data recovery processes when required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of IT assets and system configurations.
- Prepare support reports and service logs.
- Follow IT policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server basic).
- Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with printer installation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Active Directory (User creation, password reset, etc.).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience
- 1–3 years experience in Desktop Support / IT Support.
Education
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Certifications
- Hardware & Networking Certification
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
