Job Title: Sr Systems Administrator

Job Overview:

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Sr Systems Administrator to join our client to support the stability, security, and performance of their technology environment. In this role, you will take ownership of server operations across on site and cloud platforms, ensuring reliable access to core business systems. You will contribute to infrastructure modernization efforts, guide junior team members, and partner closely with security and application teams. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and driving improvements across a growing environment.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 9 a m to 5 p m with flexibility

Key Responsibilities of the Sr Systems Administrator:

• Oversee the setup, upkeep, and optimization of Windows, Linux, and virtual server environments across both on site and cloud based infrastructure
• Monitor system health, investigate issues, and restore services quickly to reduce disruptions
• Strengthen security posture by applying patches, updates, and configuration standards while supporting disaster recovery and business continuity efforts
• Manage core directory and network services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related systems while improving efficiency through automation
• Provide mentorship to junior administrators, handle escalations, maintain clear documentation, and assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications and Skills for the Sr Systems Administrator:

• A degree in information technology or a similar discipline is helpful, and equivalent hands on experience is fully considered
• Seven or more years of experience in system and network administration with at least five years working in Microsoft Windows Server environments
• Background in network design, VMware or Hyper V virtualization, and cloud technologies including Azure and Entra
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and produce clear documentation
• Prior supervisory experience coupled with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
