Senior Data Operations Engineer - REMOTE

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing cutting-edge data environments in cloud settings. The role requires hands-on engineering skills to create robust data pipelines and ensure the secure handling of vast datasets. Accountabilities

• Design, build, operationalize, secure, and monitor data processing systems
• Create robust and automated pipelines to ingest and process structured and unstructured data
• Implement custom applications using tools such as Kinesis and Lambda for streaming use cases
• Engineer and support data structures including SQL and NoSQL databases
• Maintain ELT processes for loading data lakes like Snowflake and Hadoop
• Engineer APIs for data retrieval to Enterprise Applications
• Leverage optimal tools for delivering maintainable and modern data solutions
• Respond to inquiries and assist in troubleshooting
• Collaborate with scrum team members to estimate and deliver work
• Research and resolve data-related questions while working closely with business users

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional technical experience
• 4+ years in Data Architecture and Data Modelling
• 4+ years building data solutions using Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake
• 4+ years of experience in programming with Python
• 2+ years in cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)
• Strong client-facing communication and facilitation skills
