Plumbing Operations Manager / Senior Service Plumber

Job Overview

An established and growing mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber or an individual with extensive service plumbing, hydronic heating, and/or HVAC experience to join our leadership team.

This is much more than a typical Service Manager position. We are looking for someone who wants to become an integral part of the company's future and work directly alongside the owner and Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will gradually assume many of the owner's day-to-day operational responsibilities as the owner transitions out of daily operations. We are seeking a long-term team member who can provide strong leadership, exceptional customer service, and technical expertise while helping grow the company for years to come.

Duties

• Supervise and support plumbing technicians and apprentices.
• Provide technical assistance to office staff and field personnel.
• Prepare quotations for residential, commercial, strata, and property management clients.
• Perform site visits to assess repair requirements and recommend solutions.
• Source and price materials, equipment, and specialty parts.
• Assist with scheduling, workflow planning, and project coordination.
• Troubleshoot complex plumbing and hydronic heating systems.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and service.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumber preferred.
• Equivalent experience in plumbing, hydronic heating, or HVAC service will also be considered.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience preparing estimates and communicating with customers.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Valid BC Driver's Licence.

Schedule

This is primarily a Monday to Friday position.

As we provide 24-hour emergency service, occasional evening or weekend support may be required for technical guidance or urgent service situations. These instances are infrequent but are part of supporting our customers and service team.

Pay: $20.00-$100.00 per hour
