Job Description

As a Tableau Developer at our company, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Tableau dashboards and visualizations to support business decision-making. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into visualization solutions.
  • Optimizing Tableau extracts and live connections for performance and scalability.
  • Developing and documenting best practices for visualization design, data governance, and dashboard deployment.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and security in visualizations.
  • Staying current with Tableau and Databricks features and implementing new capabilities where beneficial.

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience building Tableau dashboards and visualizations.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience integrating Tableau with Databricks (including SQL, Delta Lake, and Spark environments).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and analytics workflows.
  • Proficient in writing optimized SQL queries.
  • Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud deployment and administration.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and troubleshoot performance issues.

In addition to the required qualifications, the following skills and experience are preferred:

  • Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, DBT).
  • Familiarity with other BI tools and cloud platforms (e.g., Power BI, AWS, Azure).
  • Tableau certification (Desktop Specialist/Professional or Server).
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

As a Tableau Developer, you are also expected to possess the following soft skills:
