Your impact
We are seeking Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) HRMS Technical/Functional Analyst with strong depth in Core HR to support and enhance our HR platform. This role is an equal mix of production support and project/implementation work—owning incident resolution and operational stability while also delivering enhancements, integrations, and continuous improvements. Bonus to have working knowledge of Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) and Absence Management.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support & Operations
- Provide Tier 2/3 functional and technical support for Oracle EBS HRMS with emphasis on Core HR, including issue triage, root cause analysis, and sustainable fixes.
- Troubleshoot application issues using a strong understanding of HR processes and the HRMS data model, ensuring data integrity and stable operations.
- Use SQL*Plus and SQL tools to diagnose and validate data, run scripts, format/spool outputs, and support operational reporting and analysis.
- Support and maintain security roles/responsibilities and access controls within EBS HRMS aligned to governance and compliance requirements.
- Partner with HR stakeholders and IT teams to resolve defects and improve usability, documenting resolutions and updating knowledge articles/runbooks.
Projects, Enhancements & Implementations
- Lead/support initiatives across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare—focused on Core HR and other enhancements.
- Translate HR business needs into functional designs and specifications, recommend standard functionality first, and define gaps requiring configuration or extensions.
- Configure and maintain EBS HRMS setups for Core HR and OTL/Absence, ensuring end‑to‑end process alignment and cross‑module impact awareness.
- Design/support integrations, interfaces, and data migrations (inbound/outbound people and assignment data, time/absence feeds) using Oracle‑supported mechanisms such as APIs, loaders, interface tables, and concurrent programs.
- Develop/partner on RICE components (reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions), including BI Publisher/XML Publisher reporting and extracts.
- Support workflow and approvals using Oracle Workflow and/or AME, including troubleshooting routing/notification issues and maintaining auditability.
- Plan and execute testing cycles (CRP/SIT/UAT) by creating test scenarios, scripts, defect triage, and deployment readiness activities.
- Contribute to patching/upgrades and regression testing activities for HRMS releases, ensuring stable delivery and minimal business disruption.
Key Attributes & Competencies
- Balanced technical/functional thinker can configure Core HR while also troubleshooting with SQL/PL/SQL and reasoning through data relationships.
- Operational excellence mindset prioritizes stability, clear documentation, and measurable resolution quality in production support.
- Delivery ownership drives work from requirement through deployment, collaborates smoothly with HR SMEs and technical teams, and manages priorities across support + projects.
- Quality and control orientation understands HR data sensitivity, follows access and change controls, and maintains auditability.
Here's what you'll need
- 5–9 years of experience in Oracle EBS HRMS in a technical/functional capacity, with strong hands‑on delivery in R12.x (12.1/12.2) environments.
- Demonstrated functional expertise in Core HR (person/assignment lifecycle, organizational structures, jobs/positions, security concepts), plus working knowledge of OTL and/or Absence Management.
- Strong technical capability in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including the ability to analyze and validate data using the HRMS data model.
- Practical proficiency with SQL*Plus for running SQL/PL/SQL scripts, managing session settings, and spooling outputs to support troubleshooting and audit needs.
- Experience with HRMS interfaces/integrations and data migration, using Oracle mechanisms such as APIs and concurrent processing (and related best practices).
- Experience supporting or collaborating on BI Publisher/XML Publisher or comparable EBS reporting deliverables.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate between HR business requirements and technical implementation, working effectively in cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to, or experience integrating with, Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM in a hybrid EBS + Cloud environment (e.g., coexistence, integration touchpoints).
- Familiarity with cloud‑adjacent integration approaches (e.g., web services) and modernization patterns supporting an EBS roadmap.
- Experience with Fast Formula (especially for HR/Absence rules or validations) is a plus.
