Senior Full-Stack Developer

Full-Time

Negotiable for Remote and Hybrid (Must be U.S. based)

(React / Next.js / Node.js / React Native)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Full-Stack Senior Developer with strong experience in React, Next.js, Node.js, and React Native to serve as the internal technical lead on development for client web and mobile applications.

You will build end-to-end product features, integrate with APIs and CMS platforms, create lightweight backend services when needed, and deliver production-quality web, iOS, and Android builds while setting technical direction and standards for major initiatives.

This is a hands-on role that involves working directly with ThreeTech leadership, supporting contractors, acting as the primary technical point of accountability, and owning technical delivery for major client projects.

• Candidates must be based in the United States and able to periodically work in-person at one of our office locations in Cleveland, Dallas, or Ft. Lauderdale. Occasional travel for team collaboration or planning sessions may be required.

Responsibilities

Frontend Development (React / Next.js)

• Build high-quality, responsive client websites using React and Next.js
• Lead FE architecture decisions and establish implementation patterns across projects
• Implement key ecosystem tools, including:
• State management (Redux, Recoil)
• Data fetching (TanStack Query, Next.js server utilities)
• Routing with the Next.js App Router and dynamic routes
• SSR, SSG, ISR based on SEO and performance needs
• Styling with Tailwind CSS, MUI, Styled Components, or CSS Modules
• Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs
• Work with headless CMS platforms
• Optimize for accessibility, performance, and SEO best practices
• Review and guide frontend implementations contributed by contractors or partner teams

Backend & API Development (Node.js)

• Build lightweight RESTful APIs using Node.js, Express, or Next.js API routes
• Define backend service boundaries and integration strategies
• Connect applications to CMS sources, databases, or third-party services
• Follow best practices for input validation, error handling, environment variable and secrets management as well as secure API design.
• Integrate with authentication providers (Auth0, Cognito, Firebase Auth, etc.)
• Ensure backend solutions align with overall system architecture and scalability needs

Mobile Development (React Native)

• Build, bundle, and deploy React Native apps for iOS and Android
• Work with Xcode and iOS simulators, Android Studio and Gradle, and App Store / Google Play deployment workflows
• Implement platform-specific optimizations, offline storage, and API integrations
• Coordinate mobile release processes across client teams

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Act as the internal lead developer and technical owner on major client projects.
• Translate requirements into technical architecture, implementation plans, and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with external contractors and designers as needed.
• Provide technical guidance, code review, and implementation oversight.
• Communicate timelines, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications Required

• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Production-level experience with:
• React
• Next.js (App Router, API routes, SSR)
• Node.js (API creation, backend logic)
• React Native (iOS/Android builds)
• Comfortable using:
• State management (Redux,Recoil)
• Modern data-fetching tools (TanStack Query)
• CSS frameworks (Tailwind, MUI, or similar)
• Experience integrating with CMS systems and third-party APIs
• Experience with GraphQL APIs
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment platforms (BitBucket)
• Automated testing experience (Jest, Cypress, Detox)
• Ability to work independently, own deliverables, and manage multiple project timelines
• Excellent communication skills when working with clients and contractors
