Manager Welding

Position Overview

The Welding Manager will lead and oversee all welding operations for skid package manufacturing projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, quality standards, productivity targets, and customer requirements. The role involves managing welding procedures, welder qualifications, fabrication activities, quality compliance, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead welding activities for skid fabrication, pressure piping, structural assemblies, vessels, and modular packages.
• Ensure welding activities are executed in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and applicable codes.
• Manage welding manpower, subcontractors, and shop-floor resources to achieve production targets.
• Monitor welding productivity and implement improvement initiatives.
• Review and approve welding procedures, weld maps, fabrication drawings, and welding sequences.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, API, ISO, PED, and customer-specific requirements.
• Provide technical guidance for material selection, weldability assessments, and welding process optimization.
• Support engineering and QA/QC teams in resolving welding-related technical issues.
• Ensure weld quality meets project specifications and applicable industry standards.
• Monitor weld rejection rates and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, NDT activities, and client audits.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement for welding quality performance.

Working Condition

sThis position may require occasional travel to project sites, vendor facilities, or client offices. The role is typically office-based with regular interaction with engineering, estimation, procurement, and construction teams
