Client is seeking for strong experience in AWS cloud-native application development and TypeScript to support the design and development of the NAEP platform. This role provides technical leadership in building scalable, cloud-native applications and collaborates closely with architects, product teams, and engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of cloud-native solutions in AWS using modern architecture patterns such as microservices, event-driven, and serverless architectures.
- Architect and develop scalable TypeScript backend services and APIs.
- Guide technical design decisions and mentor developers on modern engineering practices.
- Design secure, high-performance REST APIs and backend services.
- Work with a variety of data stores including Amazon S3, PostgreSQL, and other databases.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with web applications.
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Ensure applications meet security, performance, and reliability standards.
- Participate in Agile development processes and support frequent releases.
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript development.
- Strong/Expert level proficiency in building and deploying cloud-native solutions with AWS.
- Experience building serverless applications on AWS using services such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and IAM roles/permissions.
- Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful web services (REST/JSON APIs).
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Sound knowledge of ECMAScript (ES6+) specification.
- Proven success designing, coding, and implementing scalable software solutions using modern technologies and engineering practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certification.
