Job description

Interwell Health is a kidney care management company that partners with physicians on its mission to reimagine healthcare—with the expertise, scale, compassion, and vision to set the standard for the industry and help patients live their best lives. We are on a mission to help people and we know the work we do changes their lives. If there is a better way, we will create it. So, if our mission speaks to you, join us!

As the Director, Network Development you'll spearhead efforts to expand our network of Physician providers across the United States. This position uniquely blends sales, strategy, analytics, and innovation in a dynamic market-facing leadership role. This role will work to enhance the
partnership experience, deepening engagement and fostering education among our valued Physician partners. Success will include championing our integrated technology and clinical offerings, emphasizing ease of business, workflow-neutral solutions, clinical autonomy, and aligned
incentives. You'll be a voice of the physician community, entrusted with managing multiple relationships and shaping market strategies.

Please note: The territory is anticipated to span multiple regions, including the Southwest, South Central U.S., and portions of the Southeast. Final territory scope will be discussed during the interview process and may evolve based on business needs.

What you will do:

  • Identify and follow up leads for potential physician partnerships and development of new business opportunities
  • Secure contracts and align local nephrology practices by demonstrating clear knowledge and comprehension of our value proposition and enrollment process
  • Build market-specific network development strategies based on local market intelligence, network data and organizational objectives
  • Foster strategic provider partnerships and effective working relationships with Nephrologists, Access Surgeons, alternative Specialists, hospital systems, providers, and payers to:
    • Implement value-based compensation models with Physicians and Payers
    • Educate and partner with physician and payer community to assist in Interwell Health’s rollout and on-going operation
  • Partner closely with payer partners to oversee provider engagement through community events, such as educational sessions, networking events and strategic roundtable discussions
  • Partner with data and reporting team to house master data sets by region/state to ensure centralized repository accuracy
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Clinical, Account Management, and Payor Sales teams to create educational and recruitment materials, fostering effective communication and implementing growth strategies

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field; Advanced degree or additional leadership experience in a related field preferred
  • 7+ years of related experience in account management or sales management.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and basic reporting tools.
  • Experience with Value-Based Care (VBC) and Integrated Care Management Services preferred; Nephrology experience a plus
  • Experience communicating with healthcare providers & practice administrators.
  • Deep understanding of value-based care models, including ACOs, bundled payments, and risk-sharing arrangements
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial drivers/incentives for Physician Practices, Payer partners and other healthcare stakeholders
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to think strategically and creatively in decision-making
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills to effectively collaborate with providers and internal teams.
  • Exceptional presentation and influencing skills for internal and external audiences.
  • 25-50 % travel expected; required for meetings and client interactions

Our mission is to reinvent healthcare to help patients live their best lives, and we proudly live our mission-driven values:

  • We care deeply about the people we serve.
  • We are better when we work together.
  • Humility is a source of our strength.
  • We bring joy to our work.
  • We deliver on our promises.

We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our recruiting practices. Everyone is welcome and included. We value our differences and learn from each other. Our team members come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. No matter how you identify your lifestyle, creed, or fandom, we value everyone's unique journey.

Oh, and one more thing … a recent study shows that men apply for a job or promotion when they meet only 60% of the qualifications, but women and other marginalized groups apply only if they meet 100% of them. So, if you think you’d be a great fit, but don’t necessarily meet every single requirement on one of our job openings, please still apply. We’d love to consider your application!

Come join us and help our patients live their best lives. Learn more at www.interwellhealth.com.

It has come to our attention that some individuals or organizations are reaching out to job seekers and posing as potential employers presenting enticing employment offers. We want to emphasize that these offers are not associated with our company and may be fraudulent in nature. Please note that our organization will not extend a job offer without prior communication with our recruiting team, hiring managers and a formal interview process.
