Who you are:

We are looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our efforts and deliver results! Geotab is seeking an Intern who will immediately contribute to the organization and the Communications team efforts. If you love technology, are interested in communications, are well organized, and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As a Strategic Communications Intern, your key area of responsibility will be to communicate Geotab events and news to both the internal and external stakeholders. You will need to work closely with Marketing team members as well as all internal departments. To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the successful candidate will have a strong marketing and communications background with a passion for Public Relations and social media.

The opportunity:

8 month work-term beginning September 2026.
Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact:

Research and utilize the latest communications trends and actions on a continuous basis to develop and implement new best practices for strategic communications and engagement.
Provide regular content and administrative support for Geotab’s corporate social media accounts.
Support management of CISION media metrics, reporting, wire distribution, advising on insights, and dashboards.
Support development of communications materials including media releases, social media, presentations, and background research/data analysis.
Scan media, trade publications, news for trending company/industry insights to share with the team.

What you'll bring to the role:

Purusing a post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations or a related field preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills, as well as a willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
Excellent writer with strong eye for detail, highly professional and experience working with a variety of social media channels.
Enthusiastic, creative, and self-motivated, with the ability to work with various departments across Geotab.
Passion for technology and innovation.

This role offers an hourly pay range which is anticipated to be the range listed below. The actual pay for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to student's academic program, relevant experience, and location. Geotab is committed to fair and equitable compensation and will share final details as part of the offer process. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work for the duration of the internship and the individual's ability to pass a background check.
