Job Role

We are seeking a seasoned Azure Cloud Engineer to join our DevOps team in an L2 Help Desk/Support capacity. You will be the technical escalation point for cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability for our global retail platforms. This role requires a blend of deep Azure technical expertise and a "service-first" attitude to support our US/UK clients.

Key Responsibilities

• L2 Technical Support: Act as the primary point of contact for escalated Azure infrastructure and DevOps pipeline issues.
• Retail System Stability: Support cloud-based retail applications, ensuring zero downtime during peak holiday seasons.
• Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Azure App Services, Virtual Machines, and Networking.
• CI/CD Support: Maintain and troubleshoot Azure DevOps pipelines (Build/Release) to ensure smooth code deployments.
• Monitoring & Alerts: Proactively monitor environment health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Client Interaction: Directly engage with US/UK stakeholders to provide status updates on critical incidents and RCA.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all cloud resources meet retail industry security standards (PCI-DSS compliance).

Key Skills

• Azure Infrastructure: Proficiency in Azure Compute, Storage, VNet, Azure SQL, and Key Vault.
• DevOps Tools: Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Boards, Repos).
• IaC Knowledge: Experience with Terraform or ARM Templates for infrastructure consistency.
• Scripting: Ability to automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell or Azure CLI.
• Retail Domain: Previous experience supporting eCommerce, POS, or Inventory Management systems (Mandatory).
• Containers: Basic troubleshooting of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Docker.

Mandatory Requirements

• 7–12 years of total IT experience with at least 5 years dedicated to Azure.
• Retail Experience: Must have worked on retail/e-commerce projects previously.
• Client Exposure: Proven track record of working with US or UK-based clients.
• Communication: Exceptional English communication skills (verbal and written) are mandatory.
• Shift Flexibility: Comfortable working in shifts that overlap with US/UK business hours.
