As a leading outsourcing partners, we are hiring a PostgreSQL Database Admin to work on a project for our client, which is the largest provider of telecoms and mobile money services in 14 countries spanning Sub-Saharan, Central, and Western Africa.

Purpose of the Job:

We are looking for a PostgreSQL DBA with hands-on experience in managing and supporting PostgreSQL databases in a production environment.

Job Details:

• Experience: Atleast 4 years of relevant experience in Postgresql Database
• CTC Bracket: Max upto 24 LPA
• Qualification: BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech
• Location: Gurugram (WFO - 5 days)
• Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days (candidates with Notice Period less than 30 days preferred)

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong experience in PostgreSQL Administration (No development work)
• Ability to write and handle complex SQL queries
• Hands-on experience working with Linux/Unix environments

Skills Required:

• Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL (must-have)
• Experience in database administration and support
• Good knowledge of writing SQL queries
• Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Understanding of database structures and data handling
• Experience in Oracle to PostgreSQL migration is a plus

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Install, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL databases
• Set up basic monitoring and alerts for database health
• Manage backups and ensure data recovery when needed
• Improve database performance and fix slow queries
• Identify and resolve issues before they impact systems
• Handle user requests like access, backup, restore, and refresh
• Support production systems and be available for issue resolution
