Supervisor - Accounting

As a Supervisor Inspire Company Restaurants (ICR) Revenue Accounting at Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center, your role will involve assisting in performing the revenue accounting function for corporate-owned stores in accordance with GAAP. You will be responsible for coaching and developing direct reports, serving as a key liaison between the Hyderabad Support Center and the Atlanta Support Center, and contributing to the achievement of timely and accurate reporting.

• *Key Responsibilities (ICR Revenue Accounting):**
• Serve as the go-to person for onboarding specialists and analysts to the ICR Revenue Accounting team.
• Train direct reports on various accounting policies and practices, reviewing their work each period to ensure compliance.
• Maintain excellent working knowledge and proficiency in sales audit and cash settlement domains, brainstorming process improvements.
• Supervise the team to ensure all sales and cash reconciliations deadlines are met, following up on reconciling issues with cross-functional business partners.
• Assist the manager in leading the ICR Revenue Accounting team as a valued business partner within the Inspire accounting organization.
• Review and prepare Balance Sheet and Bank Reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Handle accounting transactions with little or no supervision.
• Review Profit & Loss statements, post correcting journal entries to ensure appropriate GAAP treatment.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency of the close process while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Assist in the audit process by preparing audit deliverables and financial statement support.
• Demonstrate an ownership mentality, taking initiative to learn areas outside normal job responsibilities.
• Collaborate with and support other accounting teams as business needs evolve.
• Oversee franchise billing operations and cash application activities.
• Monitor, research, and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and overpayments.
• Drive billing and cash accuracy controls, reducing discrepancies and aged unapplied cash.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues efficiently.
• Partner with franchisees and business teams to address invoice queries and payment clarifications.
• Lead and coach the team to meet SLAs, improve data quality, and support month-end processes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and support Finance transformation initiatives.

In this role, you will need:

• Bachelors degree in accounting.
• Pursuing CPA/ CA or semi-qualified CA/ CMA candidate preferred.
• 7-10 years of prior accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with ERP financial systems.
• Excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office Suite applications.

This position does not have decision-making, managing, or hiring authorities and initially has one direct report. You should be able to work collaboratively or independently, produce accurate results, meet deadlines, and make sound decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where adaptability is imperative.
