Desktop Support Technician

Job Description: A global manufacturing company is seeking a highly qualified Desktop Support Technician to support one of their manufacturing plants in Newark, DE. This individual support a project to deploy network security appliances (firewall) in their Lab and R&D environment and will be responsible for the end-user computer migration to the Connected Labs environment. They will partner closely with other technicians onsite and the end users during the migration to determine scheduling, maintenance, and support. Additionally, they will maintain documentation related to PC inventory, support related issues, and resolutions. This is an immediate, 2-3 month contract and requires 5 days a week onsite at their plant in Newark, DE.

Required Skills & Experience: - 5+ years of IT support experience (end user, desktop)

• Experience with Microsoft operating systems: Windows XP/7 & Windows 10.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software - Office 2010, 2013 Office365
• Strong hardware support experience - PC's, printers, scanners
• Basic understanding of Network support and maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and documentation skills
• Excellent customer support skills and the ability to interface with technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to work independently as needed

Compensation: $19/hr to $24/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
