Commercial Lines Insurance Broker

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Insurance Broker to manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients on risk management solutions, placing and servicing commercial policies, and delivering a high level of customer service across renewals, endorsements, and new business.

This role requires strong technical insurance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and hands on experience with industry systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients across multiple industries
• Provide expert advice on coverage, risk exposure, and insurance solutions
• Handle new business, renewals, endorsements, and policy changes
• Market accounts to insurers and negotiate terms and pricing
• Prepare and present insurance proposals and renewal reviews
• Maintain accurate and up to date documentation in the broker management system
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carrier partners
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards

Must Have Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial Lines Insurance Broker (or equivalent commercial insurance role)
• Active RIBO certification (in good standing)
• Proficiency with Applied Systems Epic (daily, hands on use required)
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
• Solid understanding of commercial insurance products (e.g., Property, Liability, Auto, Package Policies)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Compensation

$60,000 to $80,000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D. Employees will also have access to a registered retirement savings account with employer matching.
