Description
Working under the direction of the Director, Advancement Talent Management and Programs, and supporting the Director, Advancement Talent Management and Pathways, the Advancement Talent Management Associate coordinates a wide range of programs, projects, and confidential support for the Advancement Talent Management unit. The unit delivers talent management solutions that support advancement staff and leaders across the University.
The Associate coordinates the communications and logistics of virtual, hybrid, and in‑person professional development programs, including Advancement College and other specialty learning initiatives. Responsibilities include planning and delivering events, acting as the Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator, supporting staff recognition initiatives, onboarding new advancement staff, and contributing to talent review, succession planning, and talent pipeline programs such as internships. The role also supports special projects and ad hoc initiatives led by Advancement Talent Management leadership.
In addition, the Associate manages information, reporting, and communications for the unit, including compiling metrics and evaluations, maintaining the Advancement College SharePoint site, updating talent‑related content, and producing the Advancement Talent Management newsletter. The role includes stewardship of unit resources through budget tracking, invoice preparation, and coordination of ATM funds.
Education
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Minimum three (3) years related experience in a similar talent management environment.
Experience with staff learning programming and assessment.
Familiarity with the University of Toronto, its policies, procedures and their application.
Experience working with the public in a diverse and challenging environment.
Experience handling course registration in a service environment strongly preferred.
SAP experience with SuccessFactors Learning module and SharePoint would be an asset.
Skills
Proficient Computer skills experience with the ability to use a variety of software packages including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and demonstrated experience with scheduling software (Outlook) and experience navigating databases and reporting software.
HRIS an asset.
Experience with graphic design and internal communications is an asset.
Other:

Demonstrated initiative, ownership, accuracy and attention to detail.
