DATA SCIENTIST
Innovien Solutions is currently hiring a Data Scientist to join a Technology, Data & Analytics organization supporting a large, operationally complex enterprise. This role is focused on improving financial performance, operational efficiency, and field execution through advanced analytics, modeling, and data-driven insights.In this role, the Data Scientist will transform complex operational, workforce, asset, and financial data into actionable insights and predictive models that drive better planning, cost control, productivity, and service outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional who enjoys working close to the business, delivering practical analytics that directly influence decision-making across Finance and Operations teams.
DATA SCIENTIST REQUIREMENTS:
- 4–7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role, with a proven track record of delivering insights that influence business decisions
- Strong statistical foundation, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and probability, to ensure analytical outputs are valid, interpretable, and trusted by stakeholders
- Proficiency in Python or open-source R, with a strong interest in coding, building analytical solutions, and continuously expanding technical skillsets
- Strong SQL skills, with the ability to efficiently query, manipulate, and manage data within relational databases
- Experience delivering analytics in production or operational environments, ensuring models and insights are reliable, repeatable, and embedded into ongoing business processes
- Ability to clearly communicate insights to Finance and Operations stakeholders, translating complex analysis into actionable recommendations
PLUS SKILLS:
- Experience with financial analytics, budgeting, forecasting, or cost modeling to accelerate impact on margin management and financial planning
- Previous experience within utilities, field services, or similarly asset- and workforce-intensive industries
DATA SCIENTIST RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Integrate, clean, and prepare data from operational, financial, workforce, and asset systems to create reliable analytical datasets that support cross-functional decision-making
- Build and enhance KPI dashboards actively used by Finance and Operations leadership
- Analyze financial and operational performance trends to identify cost drivers, margin pressures, productivity gaps, and risk areas
- Develop predictive models for financial forecasting, including revenue, cost, margin, and budget variance, to improve planning accuracy and proactive cost management
- Build operational forecasting and optimization models related to workload planning, staffing, crew efficiency, and asset utilization
- Design, track, and analyze KPIs across finance, operations, safety, and service delivery, providing root-cause analysis to explain performance variance
- Create dashboards, scorecards, and analytical reports that clearly communicate trends, risks, and recommended actions to business stakeholders
- Partner with business leaders to translate strategic goals into analytical questions, ensuring data science efforts align to productivity, reliability, safety, and cost outcomes
- Transition analytical models into repeatable workflows or production-ready solutions in partnership with Data Engineering and IT teams
Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
