In a world where you can be anything, Be Infoblox.

We are looking for a Staff Technical Project Manager (TPM) to join our Engineering organization in Burnaby, Canada, reporting to a Director level leader in the Engineering department. In this Senior TPM role, you will lead and manage large, cross functional delivery initiatives, orchestrate planning and execution, and deliver complex technical solutions that drive Infoblox’s growth and success. You will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering leadership, Architecture, IT, and other stakeholder teams to ensure that programs deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within scope, using data and metrics to guide decisions and continuous improvement.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

Program and SRT leadership

  • Lead and manage large scale technical projects, applying Agile methodologies and best practices from initiation to delivery
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and teams, ensuring alignment with business and customer outcomes
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive delivery plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies including task assignments, milestones, dependencies, and timelines
  • Identify and manage program or practice increment (PI) risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively implementing mitigation plans to safeguard delivery success
  • Coordinate and facilitate cross functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration

Agile delivery and ceremonies

  • Facilitate and participate in key Agile events including PI planning, pre/post planning, Inspect & Adapt (I&A) workshops, and Scrum of Scrums, ensuring they are outcome focused and data informed
  • Partner with Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Engineering leads, and Architecture to prioritize work, manage cross team dependencies, and optimize flow and throughput across teams
  • Ensure that testing, validation, and quality assurance activities are planned and executed effectively in collaboration with QA and release engineering teams

Delivery excellence, metrics, and risk management

  • Monitor PI and program progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders, senior management, and governance forums
  • Establish, refine, and socialize a metrics framework for your programs (e.g., predictability, throughput, cycle/lead time, dependency lead time, risk burndown, defect and incident trends, release quality) and use it to guide prioritization, tradeoff decisions, and risk management
  • Build and maintain dashboards and scorecards that tie delivery data to business and customer outcomes, supporting executive reviews and governance processes
  • Ensure that products and features are delivered on time and in scope while maintaining high quality standards and adherence to architectural, security, and compliance guidelines

Continuous improvement and transformation

  • Lead or co-lead Inspect & Adapt workshops, post project reviews, and retrospectives to capture lessons learned and identify process, tooling, and cross team improvements
  • Use quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback to diagnose systemic issues, validate hypotheses about bottlenecks, and measure the impact of process changes over time, ensuring continuous improvement backlogs are explicitly tied to metric movement (e.g., improved predictability, fewer carryovers, better flow efficiency)

Stakeholder collaboration, influence, and mentorship

  • Work day-to-day with multiple organizations within Engineering and often outside Engineering (e.g., Product Management, Sales, Marketing, IT), providing clear, data driven updates and facilitating cross functional decisions
  • Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for other TPMs and senior engineers on Agile delivery practices, metrics, and scaled agile execution, helping them grow their skills and impact

Be Prepared — What You Bring

  • 12 or more years of related program or technical project management experience in software or cloud-based product development (or equivalent), with deep experience leading complex, cross-team Agile delivery initiatives at scale
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science, computer engineering, electrical/electronic/communication engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles with experience implementing Agile practices in complex engineering environments
  • Proven ability to plan and execute PIs and largescale technical programs, including project planning, execution, risk management, and metrics tracking across multiple teams
  • Demonstrated strength in defining, instrumenting, and interpreting Agile metrics across teams and programs, and using data to drive prioritization, coaching, and continuous improvement
  • Skilled communicator able to reduce complex topics to clear language and compelling visualizations
  • Track record of implementing productivity enhancements through the use of AI
  • Adept at managing multiple team members with varying views and strong personalities
  • Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile Coach, SAFe) are preferred, with a willingness to expand certifications over time
  • Solid technical background enabling effective communication with engineers and architects and understanding of complex technical dependencies and tradeoffs
  • Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, and version control systems (e.g., GitHub), as well as analytics and BI tools used to build dashboards and reports
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address delivery risks, bottlenecks, and technical challenges, and to develop practical mitigation strategies
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages and metric driven narratives to audiences ranging from engineers to executives
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, building trusted relationships across Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, IT, and other partner organizations
  • A track record of initiative, innovation, and continuous improvement, proactively identifying problems or anomalies, proposing solutions, and driving adoption of best practices

  • Implement baseline metrics and dashboards that are regularly used in governance and planning to steer prioritization, manage delivery risks, and communicate tradeoffs.
