- Lead the migration of data stored on NetApp filers to Azure-native solutions such as Azure NetApp Files (ANF) or Azure Files, emphasizing high-performance IOPS and low latency.
- Utilize Azure migration tools like Azure Migrate, Data Migration Assistant (DMA), and Azure Database Migration Service (DMS) for workload assessment and migration.
- Conduct pre- and post-migration performance benchmarking, optimize SQL queries, indexing, and resource allocation to adapt to the cloud environment.
- Collaborate with Network Engineers to ensure secure and efficient data transfer over ExpressRoute or VPN Gateways during the migration phase.
- Implement database governance practices by setting up backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies in Azure using Failover Groups and Geo-Replication.
