About the Role

Senior Contracts Specialist – Côté Gold Mine Site (Gogama, ON). Reports to the Supply Chain Manager. This site‑based role follows a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation. Preference for candidates based in the Sudbury or Timmins regions, though this is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal and commercial oversight of all contracts, ensuring suppliers adhere to terms, conditions, and quality standards.
• Manage cost controls by auditing invoices, monitoring pricing, and overseeing progress payments, milestones, holdbacks, and mobilization/demobilization costs.
• Develop strategic supplier relationships and conduct regular performance reviews to meet internal customer service levels.
• direct the Field Work Instruction (FWI) and Change Order processes, resolve commercial non‑compliance and claims.
• Act as a key advisor to production and internal departments on best agreement practices, strategic planning, and scheduling.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert for the Supply Chain Team, providing mentorship, setting performance expectations, and identifying training needs.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date contractual documentation and reports to ensure full transparency and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain resources to share information and recommend innovative approaches to contract methodologies.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education in Business or Supply Chain Services.
• SCMP/CIPS certification is considered an asset.
• Previous experience with Oracle ERP system preferred.
• Minimum seven years of experience supporting complex contract negotiations and administration in a relevant industry.
• Knowledge of the mining industry is beneficial.
• Understanding of computerized contract systems, tracking, and strong data‑processing skills.
• Knowledge of contracts management, logistics, transportation, and related governmental regulations.
• Experience working within First Nations structured arrangements.
• International contract experience is an asset.
• General knowledge of mechanical and chemical principles and terminology.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
