Job Description
The Communication Analyst role supports the SAP S/4 Business Transformation project across the enterprise, partnering closely with the Communications Lead to deliver high-impact, program-wide transformational communications and PowerPoint presentations. This is a multi-year role aligned to the full lifecycle of the program.
The Communication Analyst plays a hands‑on role in developing, producing, and maintaining high‑impact communications, with a primary focus on developing executive‑level PowerPoint presentations, visual storytelling, and high‑quality digital communication platforms (including SharePoint). This role requires a communications professional who is both strategically minded and highly execution‑focused, with exceptional attention to detail and design quality.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the PowerPoint and visual communications subject‑matter expert, responsible for creating, refining, and elevating executive‑ready slide decks that translate complex transformation and program information into clear, compelling stories for different audience groups (executive, management, front line staff, etc.)
- Support the development and execution of integrated communication plans aligned to program milestones
- Draft, edit, and maintain clear, concise project communications across multiple channels (ie. leader emails, FAQs, key messages, leader toolkits, video/podcast scripts, infographics etc.)
- Develop high‑quality digital and visual communication materials, including PowerPoint presentations, status decks, executive updates, town halls and executive briefing materials
- Support the planning and execution of communication events, including town halls
- Support the development, maintenance, and ongoing management of the program SharePoint site and related digital collaboration tools, including the program Intranet page.
- Ensure communications reinforce a strong, consistent program brand aligned to the program vision and intended business benefits
- Support the management and monitoring of program communication channels, including shared mailboxes
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, large‑scale transformation programs, or project communication
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field
- Expert‑level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint is required, with demonstrated experience creating executive‑ready presentations with strong visual storytelling, and using visuals / graphic canvas to tell the transformation story
- Proven experience building, managing, and maintaining SharePoint communication sites, including content publishing, layout/design, and ongoing governance
- Experience with polling, survey, and feedback tools to support stakeholder engagement and communication measurement
- Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to tailor communications to diverse stakeholder groups and organizational levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced, agile environment with high volumes of information and data
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high‑quality visual and written outputs
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) considered an asset
- Energy and/or Utilities sector experience considered an asset
- Experience with communications in a unionized setting considered an asset
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $44-$54/hr CAD.
