Category Manager Sourcing

As a Category Manager - Sourcing at our fast-growing consumer technology and recommerce organization, your role will involve managing the end-to-end sourcing of refurbished mobile devices. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading negotiations with sourcing partners and suppliers to achieve competitive buy prices and margins
• Driving month-on-month (MoM) category and brand-level performance metrics
• Analyzing margin performance and ensuring alignment with overall business targets

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

• Owning SKU-level and city/store-level demand forecasting
• Ensuring optimal inventory availability while controlling aging and excess stock
• Coordinating with sourcing partners to ensure timely availability of key models and launches

You will also be expected to:

• Set and track monthly sourcing and sales targets
• Design incentive and payout structures to improve supplier performance and supply consistency
• Build long-term, scalable relationships with sourcing partners

Furthermore, you will need to:

• Ensure accurate catalogue pricing, grading, and product information across platforms
• Track key metrics such as stock aging, sell-through, fill rate, and supplier performance
• Generate MIS reports and provide actionable insights to leadership

Qualifications required for this role include:

• Education: Any Graduate
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in sourcing, buying, or category management within refurbished mobiles, recommerce, or consumer electronics. It is mandatory to be currently working as a Sourcing Manager or above in a large-scale refurbished mobile organization.
