About the Role
Humour Me is hiring an AI Creative Specialist to embed artificial intelligence into how we conceive, produce, and scale creative work across our client roster. This is not a prompt-writing job. We're looking for someone who treats AI as a genuine craft, fluent across image and video generation tools, comfortable in an edit suite, and able to think in narratives and content systems rather than one-off posts. You will sit at the intersection of the creative and production departments, working directly with creative directors, editors, and account teams to turn briefs into AI-assisted output that looks and feels like Humour Me work, culturally specific, visually bold, and built to perform on social.
What You'll Do
- Generate and art-direct image and video content using tools such as Midjourney, Flux, Ideogram, Kling, Runway, Seedance, and Higgsfield, matching brand-specific visual language, lighting, lens choice, and colour grading.
- Use AI to tell stories across formats, not just produce isolated assets, building sequences, episodic content, and campaign arcs that hold together narratively from first frame to last.
- Tweak, extend, or enhance existing video and photo assets with AI (reframing, restyling, VFX uplift, generative B-roll, motion extension) to extract more value from existing shoots and libraries.
- Work inside basic edit and post-production workflows, assembling AI-generated and live-action footage together, understanding pacing, transitions, sound design, and grade well enough to brief and collaborate with editors.
- Develop AI-first content buckets and formats that are sustainable at scale, systems and templates the wider team can run repeatedly for clients, not one-off experiments.
- Track and pressure-test new AI tools, models, and techniques on a rolling basis, bringing back what's usable and discarding what's hype.
- Build lightweight workflows and automations, linking APIs, scripts, or no-code tools (e.g. n8n, Zapier, ComfyUI pipelines) to remove manual bottlenecks in generation, editing, and delivery.
- Partner with creative directors at the concept stage to flag what's achievable with AI versus what needs traditional production, and with producers to budget and schedule AI-assisted work.
- Maintain a point of view on quality control, catching artifacts, inconsistencies, and off-brand outputs before they reach a client.
- Document prompt frameworks, tool comparisons, and workflows so capability builds as institutional knowledge rather than living in one person's head.
What We're Looking For
- 2–4+ years in a creative, content, or production role, with at least a year of hands-on, portfolio-backed AI generation work (image and video).
- Demonstrable command of leading generative tools across image (Midjourney, Flux, Ideogram, Nano Banana or similar) and video (Kling, Runway Gen-4, Seedance, Higgsfield, Veo or similar), including platform-specific prompt syntax.
- Working knowledge of an edit tool (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut), enough to cut a sequence, understand rhythm, and integrate AI-generated shots with live footage.
- A track record of AI-assisted storytelling, short films, branded content series, or campaign-length work, not just single image drops.
- Comfort with asset uplift work: upscaling, restyling, motion brushing, and using AI to extend the life of existing footage or photography.
- Basic technical fluency, understands what an API is, can use or set up simple workflow automations, and isn't intimidated by tools like ComfyUI, Postman, or no-code orchestration platforms.
- Sharp visual instincts and a point of view on craft, composition, lighting, colour, and pacing, informed by film, photography, or design, not just by what a tool defaults to.
- Genuine curiosity and an active habit of testing new releases; you should already be following the model and tool landscape closely.
- Ability to work fast across multiple client accounts and adapt tone, aesthetic, and content strategy for each brand.
- Bonus: experience with 3D/motion tools (Blender, After Effects), voice/audio AI (ElevenLabs or similar), or coding (Python/JS) for custom pipelines.
