Inventory Control Specialist

Role and Responsibilities:

In the role of Inventory Control Specialist, you will help maintain smooth store operations by managing shipments, organizing inventory, and supporting customer needs. You will collaborate with team members and perform tasks both independently and as part of a team. Key responsibilities include:

• Unload and load shipments, ensuring merchandise is accurately transferred from receiving areas to store locations.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to efficiently move products.
• Ensure pricing, labeling, and inventory counts are precise and current.
• Assist with inventory replenishment to make products available on the sales floor.
• Provide customer support by helping locate items and answering inventory questions.
• Maintain organized and safe work areas, including storage spaces and receiving docks.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet daily operational goals.
• Follow safety procedures when handling hazardous or special-care items.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in freight, receiving, or warehouse operations is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to operate forklifts or other material-handling machinery (training available if needed).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical capability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse or retail safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
• Prior retail or fast-paced work experience.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
