Loss Prevention Specialist

Position Overview:

The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a vital role in safeguarding the company’s assets by effectively preventing financial loss due to theft and fraud. This position is also crucial in supporting safety and environmental compliance across the assigned store or multiple locations.

The specialist will employ various tools and methods to minimize loss, including:

• Identifying incidents of theft and fraud
• Reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports
• Monitoring physical security measures within the store
• Auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems
• Fostering a culture of shrink elimination

Other essential responsibilities include:

• Preparing thorough and accurate case reports detailing apprehensions and recoveries
• Preserving evidence and documentation
• Interacting with law enforcement as needed
• Testifying in both criminal and civil court proceedings

The Loss Prevention Specialist is expected to report any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and to execute all job duties in a manner that minimizes risks to themselves, colleagues, vendors, customers, and the company as a whole. Integrity, responsiveness to asset protection and operational concerns, and a focus on store-specific business objectives are all paramount in this role.
