We are seeking Volunteer Mental Health Counselors who are passionate about emotional wellness and community healing. As a counselor, you will provide one-on-one support and group guidance to individuals navigating emotional distress, anxiety, trauma, or life transitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct empathetic one-on-one counseling sessions (virtual or in-person).
- Facilitate or co-facilitate group therapy and support sessions.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical boundaries in all interactions.
- Develop short-term support plans and guide individuals to coping strategies.
- Refer critical or high-risk cases to licensed professionals (when applicable).
- Collaborate with support group coordinators and mental health advisors.
- Contribute to awareness initiatives, webinars, or mental health campaigns.
Qualifications Experience
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- Prior experience in counseling, therapy, helplines, or peer support.
- Basic understanding of mental health conditions, trauma-informed care, and self-care practices.
- Proficiency in English and/or regional language(s).
- Ability to commit time consistently for scheduled sessions.
