Joignez-vous à l’équipe de transformateurs de puissance de Hitachi Energy à notre installation de Varennes, où nous concevons et fabriquons des transformateurs essentiels à la stabilité et à la performance du réseau électrique. Votre Impact

  • Superviser, encadrer et accompagner les technicien·ne·s d’essais afin de soutenir leur motivation, leur rendement et leur développement.
  • Créer des calendriers de tests en fonction des priorités de production et faire le suivi de la présence des employés.
  • Veiller à ce que les procédures d’essais, les exigences qualité et les sections applicables du manuel d’assurance qualité soient comprises et appliquées de manière uniforme.
  • Gérer les non‑conformités, soutenir leur résolution et étudier les données qualité pour orienter les améliorations.
  • Optimiser l’utilisation des ressources humaines et matérielles tout en maintenant un environnement de travail propre, sécuritaire et conforme.
  • Superviser l’étalonnage des équipements et assurer l’exactitude de la documentation.
  • Contribuer aux initiatives d’amélioration continue et répondre aux attentes des clients internes et externes.
  • Responsable d’assurer la conformité aux règles, procédures et lignes directrices internes et externes applicables.
  • Diriger le processus d’embauche et de formation des techniciens d’essai.
  • Mettre à jour et tenir à jour la matrice des compétences des techniciens d’essai, assigner les techniciens aux tâches en fonction de la matrice des compétences.
  • Responsable d’assurer la conformité aux règles, procédures et lignes directrices internes et externes applicables.

Votre Profil

  • Le candidat ou la candidate doit déjà détenir une autorisation de travail permettant d’être employé(e) par Hitachi Energy au Canada.
  • Diplôme collégial ou universitaire en gestion des opérations ou toute autre combinaison de formation pertinente.
  • Minimum de cinq (5) ans d’expérience en supervision de personnel dans un environnement manufacturier ou de laboratoire d’essais.
  • Expérience de travail dans un environnement syndiqué.
  • Connaissance des normes ISO et de SAP.
  • À l’aise en communication et aptitudes en encadrement adaptées à la supervision d’une équipe technique.
  • Bilinguisme français et anglais.

The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy’s Power Transformers business at our Varennes facility, where we design and deliver large power transformers critical to the stability and performance of the energy grid. As the Test Lab Supervisor, you will guide a team of test technicians responsible for validating transformer performance, supporting the safety, reliability, and quality requirements essential to customers across the utility and industrial sectors.

In this role, you manage day‑to‑day lab operations, coach and develop your team, and ensure test activities are completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, and production needs. You will coordinate testing schedules, manage non‑conformities, support continuous improvement, and uphold rigorous quality‑assurance practices. Your work directly influences customer satisfaction and the performance of critical grid equipment, while offering the opportunity to deepen your expertise in transformer testing, ISO requirements, and manufacturing processes.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supervise, coach, and develop test technicians to support motivation, performance, and growth.
  • Create testing schedules based on production priorities and track employee attendance.

Your Background

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
  • College or university degree in operations management or a combination of relevant training.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervising staff in a manufacturing or test‑lab environment.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and SAP.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Communication abilities and leadership skills suitable for supervising a technical team.
  • Knowledge of transformer testing is an asset (not a requirement).
