Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our specialized medical team. In this role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound technology to perform detailed cardiac imaging on pediatric patients, assisting in the diagnosis and management of congenital and acquired heart conditions. Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiograms and cardiac ultrasounds on pediatric patients, ensuring accurate and detailed imaging.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately, explaining procedures in a manner suitable for children and their guardians.
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare team members to interpret imaging results and assist in diagnosis.
• Maintain detailed patient records, ensuring all images and reports are accurately documented in compliance with hospital policies.
• Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Stay current with advancements in pediatric cardiac imaging techniques and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with specialization or experience in pediatric cardiac imaging preferred.
• Proven knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology and pediatric healthcare.
• Prior experience working with ultrasound equipment in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Attention to detail and precision in image acquisition and documentation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining compassionate patient care standards.
• Must meet all credentialing requirements set forth by the healthcare facility or governing bodies.

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
