Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• Discipline: RN
• Duration: 13 weeks
• 48 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, days, nights
• Employment Type: Travel

Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds : 38

· Patient Ratios : 1:4 Days, 1:5 Night

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 1 unit secretary on days and 3 techs for floor per shift

· Type of equipment : IV Pumps, Ventilators, Kangaroo Pumps, Wound Vacs, Telemetry Monitors

· Documentation system: Meditech

· Scheduling requirements: 6 weekend shifts per 8 week schedule

· Floating policy: Traveler and agency nurses float first

· Patient Experience requirements: 2 years telemetry experience

Hospital Specifics-

· Certifications: ACLS and BLS

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set:

Must have: Ability to read telemetry

Advanced skills needed: Trach care, care for vented patients, care for cardiac monitored patients, post cardiac cath care

Dress Code:

· Navy Blue top and bottom
