We're working with a global leader in mission-critical digital transformation and aerospace innovation on this exciting opportunity.

This isn't your average dev role; you'll be building real-time, safety-critical systems for the UK National Airspace using C++, Ada, and cutting-edge AI-augmented development workflows. We are looking for a forward-thinking engineer who doesn't just code, but leverages LLMs like Claude and GitHub Copilot to outpace the status quo in high-availability environments.

The Role

• Design and maintain high-availability software for national air traffic management systems utilizing C, C++, and Ada.
• Lead the charge in AI-driven engineering by integrating Claude Code and GitHub Copilot into the full SDLC for code generation and refactoring.
• Develop automated test frameworks and debugging scripts to ensure the reliability of massive, real-time multi-threaded systems.
• Architect low-level communication protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, and SCTP within Linux Red Hat and virtualized environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize safety-critical infrastructure with a human-in-the-loop AI approach.

What You'll Need

• 4-8 years of software engineering experience (or a Master’s with 2-6 years) with a strong background in Object-Oriented Programming.
• Proven expertise in C++ or C; experience with Ada is a major plus for these mission-critical systems.
• Hands-on proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools and LLM platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini.
• Solid experience with Linux, hypervisors, and real-time system integration for complex hardware environments.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required for this national infrastructure project.
