Your New Role
As an IT Support Specialist / Zoom Administrator, you will play a key role in both end-user support and platform administration, with a strong emphasis on managing and evolving the organization’s Zoom unified communications environment.
You will act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Zoom and related collaboration tools, leading configuration, integration, and ongoing platform optimization. In parallel, you will provide front-line and escalated IT support to internal staff and stakeholders, ensuring a seamless user experience across hardware, software, networks, and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary escalation point for Zoom and unified communications platforms (Zoom / Teams)
- Leading the configuration, integration, testing, and ongoing administration of Zoom (including expansion into new modules and features)
- Providing day-to-day Helpdesk support across hardware, software, network connectivity, and user access issues
- Managing user provisioning, permissions, and security access (including Entra ID / SSO environments)
- Supporting desktop hardware, software deployment, asset management, and inventory tracking
- Delivering end-user training and guidance on collaboration tools and technology usage
- Partnering with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot issues and support projects
- Supporting technical setup and troubleshooting for meetings/events
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying risks and recommending enhancements
- Ensuring security best practices are maintained across systems and platforms
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Minimum 2+ years hands-on Zoom administration experience Configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting across the Zoom platform
- 3–5 years overall IT support / IT operations experience
- Experience supporting desktop environments, networking, and user access issues
- Strong understanding of unified communications platforms (Zoom strongly preferred)
- Experience with:
- Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID
- Cloud productivity suites (Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace)
- User provisioning, permissions, and security controls
- Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues and support end users
- Strong communication skills with experience supporting users of varying technical ability
- System administrator-level knowledge of Zoom (highly preferred)
- Experience with Zoom Rooms, Webinars, or advanced Zoom modules
- ITIL knowledge or experience working in structured IT operations environments
- Experience with ServiceNow, Freshservice, or similar ticketing tools
- Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) solutions
